Waste is raw material, from which we can always recover materials and energy. It depends only on our choices: whether they will serve us in the future, or whether they will be squandered. Modern technologies facilitate maximum recovery of waste. Together, we can reduce the amount of waste, increase the percentage of recovery and optimise recycling.

A big challenge in the 21st century is exhaustion of traditional energy resources. We must do our best to ensure that recovery of energy from renewable sources, including waste, sewage sludge, and biomass, is efficient, safe, and profitable.

The way in which we manage drinking water and wastewater is one of the determinants of social development. Our goal is to work together to ensure good water quality, appropriate treatment of wastewater, and proper management of sewage sludge.
